Technique, Communication & Musicality
Program with Alexis Southall
This program is designed to give you more insight into 3 key ingredients of your dance class. Learn how to refine your communication skills, improve your technical eye, and enhance your musicality.
First we will focus on the various ways of breaking down technique, getting your students to understand exactly what you want them to learn. We will discover how to cater your classes for different levels, making sure you are able to broaden and challenge all dancers’ abilities. In the second part of the program we will be examining common mistakes in technique, how to identify them and how to correct them. The final part of the program is all about musicality. We will look at different aspects of musicality commonly attributed to fusion bellydance, and how to help your students develop this skill. By the end of this program you will have a number of tools, ideas, inspiration and exercises to work with your students and help them to develop strong and clear fusion bellydance technique.
